New materials open up new perspectives but it takes skill, courage and an appetite for experimentation to build up experience in the use of innovative alloys and other materials.

One example: hypereutectic materials

We have successfully pioneered new materials for a number of years – for example, processing over-eutectic aluminium alloys even with complex component geometries.

Many of the alloys we use enable long-term, wear-resistant casts without expensive surface protection, a cost advantage that we pass on to the customer.
